Satire Master: George Carlin

SATIRE: mockery, ridicule, derision, scorn, caricature, irony, sarcasm.

What is the purpose of satire?

Contemporary politics are occupied by people of sweeping influence. Often organised groups who control money supply, law enforcement, policy-making in education, man-power planning and specific systems that affect the lives and well-being of ordinary citizens.

And ordinary citizens, among whom are the gullible and the ignorant.

The purpose of satire is to use humour to ridicule and expose/criticize people's stupidity or vices regarding topical issues and political decisions.

George Carlin while incisive in his analysis and acerbic in his delivery of satire, is also a masterful crowd-pleaser with humour.
