The Medium And The Message: The Dancing Sun

What is actually happening VISUALLY?

Why is it taking place at this PARTICULAR time...
in this PARTICULAR place?

Is the visual happening a mass illusion?

Is the visual happening a mass hallucination?

Watch the video. Perhaps you'll have more questions and some answers.

For me, I am intrigued with the event sequencing with the accompanied stunning visual happenings.
The purpose of the event. The timing of visual happenings. The related coincidences of the nature of the messages and the responses of MANY present. The co-incidences seem to have deliberate design
plan.

There is relatedness in MEDIUM AND THE MESSAGE. Now this is exciting!

Addicted To Perfection: Richard Avedon's Images

This video is revealing. But complex.

You'll hear layers of intentions. Read meaning behind meanings. See the artist developing his craft. And deduce that the craft in practice is crafting the artist.

Richard Avedon's photographs are breathtaking.

To me, they are implosions of feelings and imagination. From high fashion to real life. The movements. The moments. The myth. All captured.

But the man, as he expresses the thinking and the concepts behind his works, reveals much.

While photographing a face, he digs deep. Goes beyond appearance, looking for contradictions and connectedness. He gives a dignity to severity, isolation and aloneness.

The power of his photographs comes from his ability to bring his story to the situation. Claiming to be a rebel within, he can stimulate his subject to rise to the moment as he himself responds to the moment and make new. The inner truth surfaces for his camera to record. The obsessions. The sensuality. The fascination. They turn into icons.

Art cliches get resurrected life and turn magical.

Enjoy the process of a photographer becoming an artist!

Fusion of culture and integration of discipline in this well-executed ice-skating performance.

Meaning Attached To A Traditional Act

Meaning.

To give.
To receive.
To remember.
To pass on.
To commemorate.
To celebrate.
To share.
To remind.

A pair of chopsticks: so meaningful!

Something Very Unusual

Inhuman!

Very demanding!

Unreasonable!

But thank you!

With love.

Creative Empathy: The Process Of Making Blackadder

Here is a group of incredibly talented people looking back at what they did together: BLACKADDER.

Funny. Strange. Amusing. Offbeat. Irreverent. Surprising. Insightful.  All relevant adjectives.

The excerpts shown in this video capture these elements beautifully.

What was it that made the project BLACKADDER work so successfully?

This group supplied this conclusion: Creative Empathy.

Empathy being the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

Creative being the ability to improvise and re-interpret feelings and intentions in highly imaginative expressions while working together.

It is good to see the way that they did it. Captivatingly so!

Words To Mean A Meaning Without Sounding Mean

Words. We use words to amuse; to let the other know how we feel; what we want.

Where. When. How. Why. To understand. To share. To teach. To learn.

Here comes George Carlin going seriously into words.

Layers of them.

WORDY words: words to mean a meaning without sounding mean.

EUPHEMISMS.

Listen.
