The Innovative One With The Fibonacci Numbers
Researchers have organised five clusters of capacities that seem to be common to innovative individuals.
They have broadly labelled them under:
1. Association
The capacity to make links with unconnected materials to create a-new. Metal and glass for spectacles; for binoculars and massive corporate buildings. The capacity to use biology and physics and chemistry to create a-new. Medicine, food science and drinks. The capacity to use economics and dance and singing and multi-media for education, entertainment and business. Ipads and Iphone. GPS. Fusion cuisine. Online-learning. E-banking. Interplanetary travel. Wow! The capacity to make associations!
2. Questioning
The capacity to frame questions: What if...? And then...? Why not..? All leading to newness. Fantastic discoveries result.
3. Observation
The innovative individual has the capacity to pay attention to details and characteristics. Of spending patterns; materials behaviour; nature and types of responses; of traits and trends and taste. The result: Diet Coke. Hybrid vehicles. GM plants. Cross-selling. Cross-overs: classical singers into jazz and pop and musicals. Fusion music: ethnic instruments combining with traditional european orchestral ensemble. Connections are open-ended.
The innovator makes smart-bold connections.
4. Networking
The innovative individual has friends doing all kinds of stuff in diverse fields. His frequent contact with them enriches his perception of space, time, concept, meaning, purpose and relevance. He sees and thinks in different levels.

The innovative individual is trying new stuff often. Mostly making. Adapting. Modifying. Exploring.
